The new version of MapFactor navigation software for Windows and Windows CE — PC/Pocket Navigator 26 has been released. The annual update primarily introduces more precise route planning for trucks and large vehicles, along with the latest professional TomTom map data.
Precision Truck Routing for Even More Accurate Navigation
The key new feature in Navigator 26 is Precision Truck Routing, delivering more accurate route planning for trucks and other large vehicles. Navigator now works with point-level data on road restrictions such as low bridges, weight-limited roads, and other obstacles.
While previously restrictions were applied to entire road segments, the navigation now evaluates their exact location. This allows for more accurate route calculation and better real-world guidance — for example, safely guiding drivers to a loading or unloading point located just before a restriction, and approaching it from the correct direction.
As a result, drivers can:

reach their destination more reliably, even in complex areas

minimize the risk of the navigation failing to find a suitable route or guiding the vehicle to an inappropriate access road

PC/Pocket Navigator 26 is designed for professional drivers and fleet management who require reliable offline navigation. The software runs on Windows and Windows CE devices.
It also enables easy integration into dispatching and telematics systems through a set of remote commands, allowing, for example, destinations to be sent directly to the device.
